DAOC’s Rules

Please be considerate to other players. Broadsword’s rules about multiboxing software are sensible. We urge you to respect them.

In 2016 Broadsword adopted new rules for multiboxing software. We think these rules make sense. They are designed to make the game more fun for as many people as possible. That’s in everyone’s interest, including yours, because it helps keep the population as high as possible.

We urge Mojo users to familiarize themselves with these rules and follow them.

The rules for multiboxing with Mojo

  1. If you’re playing a single toon you may control it with hotkeys anywhere, even in RvR.

  2. If you’re playing more than one toon at the same time:

    1. You may control them with hotkeys in PVE zones.

    2. You may control them with hotkeys in PvE/RvR zones (Celestius, Darkness Falls, Labyrinth, Passage of Conflict, Summoners Hall).

    3. You may not control them with hotkeys in pure RvR zones (New Frontiers and battlegrounds).

  3. You may not control more than one toon simultaneously with hotkeys if any of them is on an Endless Conquest account.

  4. I saved the best rule for last. You may use hotkeys that perform more than one in-game action in response to a single finger press. This was new in 2016.

These rules mean that…

Combat between multiboxers and non-multiboxers is allowed in PvE/RvR zones (Celestius, Darkness Falls, Labyrinth, Passage of Conflict, Summoners Hall).

Although you’re allowed to multibox in Labyrinth, Passage of Conflict, and Summoners Hall, you’re not allowed to walk your group with multiboxing sofware through New Frontiers to get there.

You can take your team to Lab safely by going through the dragon zone in your realm. The Lab entrances are the tiny caves marked on maps by the dragon lairs.
