MULTIBOXING COMMANDS

Key

Triggers qbinds, keyboard actions, qbar slots, and movement.

Syntax

Key ( key [press] [release] [hold milliseconds])

Do not use “press” or “release” unless you fully understand what they do. They are rarely needed, and they must always be used in pairs. If you send “press” you must also send “release”.

Parameters

Key is the name of a key or key combination that Mojo “presses” in DAOC.

Press (optional) instructs Mojo to press the key or key combination in the game.

Release (optional) instructs Mojo to release the key or key combination in the game.

If press and release are omitted, Mojo does both.

Hold (optional) instructs Mojo to hold the key or key combination down for a specified length of time.

Milliseconds (optional) is the number of milliseconds that Mojo holds down the key or key combination.

Examples

Hotkey ( F1 )
{
   Key ( Backspace )
}

That means, “When I press F1 with my finger, Mojo should make all copies of DAOC peform the action that is bound to Backspace in the game.”

Hotkey ( Alt U )
{
   Key ( Alt Shift Ctrl N )
}

That means, “When I press Alt U with my finger, Mojo should make all copies of DAOC peform the action that is bound to Alt Shift Ctrl N in the game.”

Movement Hotkeys

In the following examples, we’ll assume that the up-arrow key is bound to “move forward” in your copies of DAOC. Mojo calls this key “Up”.

There are two ways to write movement hotkeys with Mojo. The first way is with the Hold keyword. Here’s an example that makes all your toons move forward for one second. You don't have to hold keys down with your fingers. Mojo does the holding for you. The number after Hold tells Mojo how long to hold down the movement key in milliseconds.

Hotkey ( Ctrl F1 )
{
   Key ( Up hold 1000 )
}

The second kind of movement hotkey makes all your toons move forward as long as you hold the trigger down with your finger. When your finger lifts, movement stops. This requires two hotkeys. One gets triggered when you press with your fingers and the other gets triggered when they lift.

Hotkey ( Ctrl F2 press )
{
   Key ( Up press )
}

Hotkey ( Ctrl F2 release )
{
   Key ( Up release )
}

Remarks

Do not use “press” or “release” unless you fully understand what they do. They are rarely needed, and they must always be used in pairs. If you send “press” you must also send “release”.

You must write the names of the keys you want Mojo to “press” in the game.

To find out the name of a key, press it while looking at the upper left corner of Mojo’s Geeky Stuff page.

This command cannot be used to type text on DAOC’s chat line. Use Slash for that purpose.
