Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

Hi Qysh, Well, I realized I have been a user and not a contributor so I bit the bullet and donated, twice, ($20.00 ) once for mojo and ($20) once for the Gaheris.net via Pay Pal. Thanks very much. To see Pay pal as the only option had deterred me in the past...Would be convenient though if there wer...

Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

Hello Buffsteria, Delighted to hear from you! I had no idea you're still playing DAOC. When I look back on the whole 18 years, your posts on VN and Postcount are one of my favorite parts. I was planning to add license keys, etc., to the next build of Mojo so I could start charging money. But I haven...

Build 283 -- Additions to Slash

Additions to /Slash You can now use account names as variables with Slash like you already could with SendTo. For example: Slash ( "/invite <AccountName>" ) Slash ( "/target <AccountName>" ) Slash ( "/assist <AccountName>" ) You were already able to write things like this: Slash ( "/... <WindowName...

Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

Hi Erynwen, Thanks a lot for the kind words. I was also disappointed that I didn't get to modernize and improve the client's interface, fix its bugs, etc. It would have been fun and I think the results would have been great. But it's not going to happen and it's water under the bridge. I agree about...

Re: Phoenix Sever Support

I read their rules but I don't know how they interpret them so I have no idea. Somebody might say Mojo "modifies" the client by putting a close-window button on the client's window but actually, technically, Mojo hasn't modified the client (i.e. it hasn't changed anything in EA's files or code) beca...

Re: Phoenix Sever Support

You're welcome. :) I'll try to do it if somebody who is in charge of Phoenix confirms that these things are true: 1. It's okay (not a rule violation) to use Mojo with Phoenix. 2. It's possible for Mojo to launch DAOC for Phoenix without modifying the client. I think but I'm not sure that some or all...

Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

First of all... thanks for finally adding an icon lol Haha you're welcome. :) Thanks a lot for taking time to tell me your perspective and how you would react to prices. I appreciate it. If its about money... have you looked into seeing if EA would be interested in purchasing Mojo to integrate it i...

Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

I usually have 4 keys I use between the accounts, 1 2 3 & 4, other than that can't say I use much else. From my point of view as the author of two multiboxing programs this is a pretty big thing because Mythic put a "block" in DAOC that stops background copies of DAOC from receiving keystrokes. Whe...

Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

I thought maybe a one time "license" fee for the current version might be more palatable to most than a subscription. I think you're right. People would like it a lot better if they pay money once and can use Mojo forever. Sorry if my use of the word "license" was unclear. I'm so used to the word t...

Re: Mojo becoming a paid program?

Thanks a lot Sitruc for taking time to tell me your ideas. I'm glad you're using the program and I'd feel bad if you have to stop using it, not only because you're a disabled vet and but also because you're a nice guy. I want to make sure I understand you because I'm a little puzzled by the word "do...
