Brainstorming : How to open Q windows to all toons

Mojo Multiboxing tool has reached a point close to perfection to me

I mean, i've never found any other multiboxing tool as easy to understand and to write script for.

I've upped 3 teams with mojo and his improvments, i'd like to up an other one, but there is still something i need !


Can we figure out a solution to open the Q windows (or Trainer windows) for everytoon ?

What i tried :

- Create a hotkey :

Assist driver
Stick driver's target
Right click at the center of the window


Doesn't work, because of the races of the chars, of the cameras settings, the right click do not touch the NPC for most of the toons


Any ideas to help me ? :D

I have an idea. Can you tell me the size of your DAOC windows? I'll write a hotkey that we can try.

Nevermind about your window size. I just added % arguments to ClickMouse so the window size doesn't matter.

Okay, here's my idea. It's the "shotgun" (fusil de chasse?) idea from a few days ago. It requires build 239.

I just tried with 3 toons and it works surprisingly well. But that's only 3.

if this doesn't work for you we can try other "shot patterns."

If this works for you I'll make Mojo do it automatically

Okay, new team is level 10

I've tested this on the tutorial map, lot of quests

The gunshot trick do not works when there are multiple NPC close to the one you want to talk
The game is asking for "one more second before interacting"
To deal with this problem, i added a wait between each click in the shotgun
It's working, the problem is solved


An other problem is :
When the toons are sticked to the driver, the gunshot opened the Q window for only 2-3 toons in the pack, others no. Because of the others toons behind them i think, or space localisation
To deal with this problem, i added a hotkey to hit before : Stick the Driver's target

So then my toons stick the NPC then i hit shotgun
It was working for 5-6 chars but still one or two with issues

I guessed the problem would be solved by placing all bots camera mode to "look at my foots", this way when stick to a npc, it would be close to the center of the window without interference
I used /setcamera on everytoons exept drivers
Now it's working for almost all toons in almost every situation but i still have to be careful because :

Sometime, one toon do not click
Sometime, according to how they are sticked to the npc, some are not working


Dunno if i'm clear, btw it's an improvment !
But i'm not 100% confident so i spend as much time as before checking ;)

I'm going to try to make a better shot pattern. I did the earlier one by hand on an asymmetrical rectangular matrix. I'll generate the new one with software on a symmetrical hexagonal matrix.

Heya Rob,

If you don't know what to work on now, this is the only issue I still have using mojo : quest are pain in the neck (better since mousclick but still)

why ? because targetting the npc is hard

this pattern is working on 6-7 toons

Every time I start to think about this, I think, "The obvious, easy, sensible, rational way to do this is that Mojo should send a packet to DAOC's server. The packet would say, 'This toon just selected this NPC.'"

But Broadsword might think that's a violation of the EUALA even though the in-game action would be exactly the same.

would making team races as close to same height help?

It might help a little but I think this still wouldn't work reliably. It would be an easy thing to test.

i had good luck making races most to same height with one i believe one is 12/13 under. works for medium to smallest race using different sex and scaling. i havnt tested medium hights to large but i think they would work same way.

My existing hotkeys for assist and stick can work for running to any mob or npc except driver. I have not figured the set camera yet. I do know how to look down or up from game menu key. I looked down at feet and got 2 clicks on medium height and 3 clicks on looking straight default. I assume looking down would work on taller characters adjusting it accordingly. I dont have any tall characters. I adjusted mine by sex, race, height to get close to each other. Shorter characters could look up. I can test that. I will post more as I test
summary as I go
all done stick one on one
shorter medium height to short med npc 3 clicks straight, 2 low
shorter medium height to short npc 2 clicks straight, 3 low
shorter medium height to medium npc 2 clicks straight 0 low
short to medium medium npc 2clicks high, 2 straight, 1 high
medium to medium npc 3 clicks straight

all done run to stick 8 characters short characters made taller medium tall made shorter such. no tall characters. all done to medium height npc wony weapon merchant in mag well in blacksmith shop.
7 out of 8 consistent
all done closer than run stick brings you then stick to target
8 out of 8 in 12 tries.
with multiple npcs you may have t angle yourself to avoid others but its better than nothing.
