Spellcrafting all wacked (well for me anyway)

Post by Mikeusnret » Mon Oct 19, 2020 7:59 pm

Hey Rob,

I loaded up these in the Spell Crafting for my Midgard crafter to put on the hotbar.

Perfect Blood Essence Jewel
Imperfect Heated Shielding Jewel
Flawed Dusty Shielding Jewel
Perfect Airy Essence Jewel

Next I clicked on Put on Quickbar then logged on my Midgard Spell Crafter and this is what was loaded onto the quickbar

Flawless Ashen Primal Rune
Flawed Earthen Shielding Jewel
Rough Airy Shielding Jewel
Flawless Airy Essence Jewel

Say What!!?!?!?!?!?

The only one that was even close to being right was the Airy Essence Jewel.

Thanks for telling me about this. Sounds like Broadsword has changed the codes (ID numbers) that identify gems since I wrote that part of Mojo many years ago. Players don't see these numbers, but the game uses them in its settings files, and Mojo puts these numbers in DAOC's files in order to make the gems appear on your quickbars.

Mojo assumes the ID numbers still mean what they meant ten years ago, but apparently Broadsword has changed the meanings. When Broadsword makes this kind of change to the game, Mojo breaks. I have no control over whether Broadsword changes the game, and they don't notify me when they do it.

I'll check whether this has really happened and if so, I'll either update Mojo or remove Mojo's spellcrafting feature. Thanks again for telling me.
